How long have you been doing business in town?

I started Studio Patty D in 2020 as a direct response to Covid-19. I have owned and operated Image Awards & Engraving since 1994 and we really took a hit when the shut down occurred in March and April - the busiest time of year for us. Even once re-opened, all the awards banquets were cancelled, sports were out, and people just weren't getting any engraving done.

What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

I started painting & playing with mixed media in 2016. Originally a scrap-booker, it was a natural progression. I loved it and have enjoyed it as a hobby for myself ever since. It was at the prompting of friends and family, and the fact that I had all the equipment and expertise to make it happen, that I started imprinting my art on products, and Studio Patty D was born.

If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

"Celebrate life's moments, and make it fun"! (I know, more than 5 words. :) )

What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your business?

I'm no stranger to difficult moments in business after being at it for 28 years, but I will say that the pandemic and the resulting shut down had to be the most difficult. To go from thriving to crickets over night was life altering.

What’s the most satisfying part of your business?

The most satisfying part of my business is that I get to make stuff (I love making stuff), and I get to make people happy. Whether it's through engraving & recognition products, or whimsical cosmetic bags, I get to bring smiles to the faces of the people who's lives I touch. It's magic.

How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

One thing I can say about my business at Studio Patty D, is that the products I make cannot be found anywhere else on the planet! Guaranteed.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Don't give up.

Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about? If so, what details can you share and what makes it so exciting?

StudioPattyD.com & Spots On The FOX are my new projects and endeavors, and I am very excited to start this new branch of Image Awards, Engraving & Creative Keepsakes, Inc.
