Wicks and Wax was started back in 1999. My Husband John and I make candle and wax melt. We're proud to offer the highest quality, most unique merchandise on the market today. How long have you been doing business in town?

We started back in 1999!


What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

We wanted to find a nicer burning candle that would scent the entire time it was burning. 


If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger, what would it be?

We use the highest quality of waxes, oils and wicks to ensure a clean burning chemical free candle.


What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your business?

Our biggest challenge is actually educating our customers on the difference’s between our candles and those mass produced by big box stores. 


What’s the most satisfying part of your business?

We love the look on our customers faces when they find that one scent that takes them back to a special time or place. We carry over 200 different fragrances so you are definitely sure to find what your looking for. We love to do custom orders. We find making a candle a little more personable gives it that little extra meaning especially when it’s a gift.

How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

We are very careful to make sure that the products we use are all chemical free. For example, our oils are all alcohol free, which means you won’t get the black smoke throughout your house. We also use eco cotton wicks for a cleaner burn time.
